Hello Savannah!
A NEW CHAPTER: BEGINNING MY MASTER'S JOURNEY AT SCAD SAVANNAH
It was finally here, the day I would leave India to pursue my Master’s in Luxury and Brand Management at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
At the airport, surrounded by family and friends, emotions ran high. Their teary-eyed farewells marked not just a physical departure, but the beginning of a transformative chapter. As I stepped through security, I stepped into uncertainty, growth, independence, and possibility. The journey to Savannah was filled with anticipation. Nervousness lingered quietly beneath the excitement. Although I was traveling with a few acquaintances, which brought comfort, I found myself reflecting on the magnitude of the decision I had made. Moving across the world to pursue a specialized degree in luxury and brand management felt both bold and humbling.
When I arrived in Savannah and settled into my friend’s home, it felt surreal. I was in the United States, in a new country, navigating a new academic system and an entirely unfamiliar environment. As the jet lag gradually subsided, I began to fully absorb my surroundings. Savannah’s historic charm immediately captivated me. The cobblestone streets, preserved architecture, and distinctive character of its historic districts created a setting that felt both cinematic and grounding.
Soon after, my first day of class arrived. We gathered for commemorative photographs, smiling through a mix of excitement and nervous energy. The atmosphere was charged with ambition. Students from diverse backgrounds were united by a shared passion for creativity, business, and brand strategy. It was nerve-wracking, yet deeply invigorating.
As I begin this academic and personal journey, I do so with immense gratitude. I am determined to make the most of this opportunity, to learn rigorously, contribute meaningfully, and build a foundation that aligns with the future I envision for myself in the luxury industry.
